About the Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund

The Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund is a registered Scottish charity with the charity number SC042082. The charity and its work is dedicated to the memory of Eilidh Brown, who passed away from Germ Cell cancer on 25 March 2010 after a 14 month battle with the disease, 9 days before her 16th birthday.

Eilidh showed tremendous bravery and wisdom throughout her ordeal and inspired everyone who came into contact with her. Her wish was to help others even if she lost her battle with cancer and her family decided to seek charity registration so they can continue fundraising to help others who are going through a similar experience.

The charity aims to provide respite for families across the United Kingdom, with young people up to the age of 21 who are in treatment for, recovering from cancer or who have suffered a similar loss. The inspiration to build and maintain a respite home in Stirling, Scotland came from the last treasured family holiday Eilidh and her family shared at Calum’s Cabin, a similar holiday home at the Isle of Bute.
